This is my first linky party in a while, but since I received my TPT check today, I thought I would go on a shopping spree. =) Tee hee hee!
I know the rule is only one thing for school and for home, BUT I might break the rules a smidge. ;)
First, I hit up Total Wine. This was totally for me and the boyfriend and you might not find this quite so fabulous, but we sure do! I bought us a box of assorted wines and I cannot wait to get my sip on!!
Second, I went to Target and got some goodies for the kids and for me!
These Snap-its are my fabulous school find! I have never heard of them, but they were $1.00 in the Target bins and I think the kids will LOVE these as a reward! (Sorry the pictures are so crappy - I used my iPhone!)
Here is some other stuff I snagged while I was at Target!
I have had my eye on those plastic popcorn bins for a while and I just went ahead and bought like 8. I don't really know how I'm going to use them yet, but by God I will!!
I Just love this wrapping paper. I'm going to need to figure out how to use that in my classroom this year. Any ideas ladies??
And I don't know about you, but I always have a REALLY hard time finding cheap treats for my boys! They always have cute stuff for girls, so I was sooo excited that they had a bunch of cute and CHEAP stuff for my boys!
Go link up with Elizabeth from Fun in Room 4B for this week's Fabulous Find Friday!
And today I have been working on some Genre Posters for my classroom! They will be coming soon to my stores!
But, these posters got me thinking about my classroom design this year and I have NO idea what I want to do with my room...
What is your classroom theme? Maybe I will be inspired...
I, too, have trouble finding stuff for my boys. Wal-Mart has a section of bins in their birthday party area with things that are usually $1-2 and I've found dinosaur and cars themed things. Looks like you have some great finds!

Learning is for Superstars
Noted! I will definitely check it out next time I'm there!
DeleteGinger, I just wanted you to know that you have taught me so much. At midnight last night, I watched your tutorial about making editable documents. I stayed up until 2 A.M when I got finished with my first project. I can not stop! I made two more things today! Thank you so much-I am having a blast! I like your shopping spree items. Thank you so much for all you share!

Awww thank you Jennifer! You just made my night!! =) I am glad you were able to find it helpful!
DeleteYour finds at Target were great! :) Love Target! My theme is owls...I think! I really wanted to do a detective theme, but another grade level chose it, so...we, for now, are doing owls unless something else comes to mind! I am still keeping my eyes open in case I see another idea that I can latch onto.
ReplyDeleteMy new blog is http://mrsjimison.blogspot.com . Thanks!
Pam
PS
ReplyDeleteThe wrapping paper! I would decorate the front of my desk with it and the splash behind my sink if it were me! :)
I was about to work on some genre theme posters...but now I don't have to! I can't wait until yours are done:)

Tonya’s Treats for Teachers
I have been to Target three times this week and I have not seen those snap pencils! You are right, the kids are going to LOVE them! It is hard to find rewards from boys. Last year, my boys loved these rubber bugs I got from the Dollar Tree. They came 8 in a pack for one dollar. My classroom theme is Creative Teaching Press-Dots on Black with Stick Kids. I try to stick to a theme, but sometimes it's hard with all of the cute things out there! I found these cute owl cutouts that I just couldn't resist and they don't even go with the theme!
ReplyDeleteI am loving all of your wonderful ideas! Keep up the great work!
I would love for you to come visit my blog!
:)

Man, Ginger! You are going to break me if you don't quit making such cute products. I am totally in love with those genre posters and I can't wait to buy your cupcake writing activity. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too sweet Nicole! =)
DeleteA box of wine! A woman after my own heart! Love your finds. How did I not follow you already?? Just fixed that. :-)

Me either! Ugh! =)
DeleteLove all your Target finds!! I definitely need to venture there and check out the dollar bins. I love the Genre signs. I'm doing a chocolate, lime green, and medium blue polka dot theme for the 2nd year. I'm getting crafty using the great ideas from Pinterest!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNEED THOSE POSTERS!! PS girl, you are all over Pinterest! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI need those popcorn boxes too.
Thanks Abby!
DeleteLOVE these posters!!
ReplyDeleteI have a beachy theme - blues/greens...but you knew that :)
Thanks Jen!!
DeleteHa!! You made me laugh so hard with the popcorn boxes--I must have walked past them like three times the other day, trying to resist temptation!
ReplyDeleteI love the wrapping paper. I think (I hope I'm not wrong) that Melanie from Schoolgirl Style had a post about using wrapping paper as bulletin board paper awhile back...it was really cool!
Well, you know my theme, my friend! It's all brights, black, and white! Best of luck, I know you will do something fab :)
I keep thinking about how I can incorporate your signs and just do my theme in bright colors like yours. =)
Deleteomgosh- I LOVE LOVE LOVE KRisten's bright color signs!!!
DeleteI really WANT them...in bright blue and green...lol
DeleteIt was Melanie! I found the one I was thinking about, she's brilliant: http://www.schoolgirlstyle.com/2012/01/rock-star-theme/
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE it if someone would do colorful STARS. I have decided to go with colorful stars this year. A couple of years ago I found a cute saying on the Internet and am finally back in the classroom and can use it. It was "Twinkle, Twinkle little star. I wished for you and here you are!" I can't wait to put that on my door. I love all of your colorful, fun classroom items!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen those snap-its at Target either! Oh well, I'll be back there tomorrow, so I can look for them then! ;)

BTW- I thought I was following you already, but I wasn't! Well, I am now! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your fabulous finds, Ginger. And...there are no rules, especially if you start off this post with a box full of yummy wine. But, I am rather jealous! Thank you so much for lInking up :)
ReplyDeleteLove your other finds, too. Hummm, wrapping paper? I'm with Kristen- bulletin board.
Love your genre posters!!!
Elizabeth
Those posters are super cute and colorful!! I love that wrapping paper. In my classroom I have limited storage and $$. I had a lot of things stored in those white copy paper boxes (didn't look too fab). I bought cute wrapping paper (from the dollar store) and spray adhesive (from the craft store)and my friend and I covered the boxes. They look really cute but it definitely takes 4 hands to do. It's a cheap alternative to expensive storage boxes. :)
ReplyDelete:) Nancy
Your genre posters look great! I want some wine...

LOVE your site and thank you for all your GREAT and INSPIRING ideas!! I really enjoy visiting your site! :-)
ReplyDeleteWord of caution with the popcorn holders...I bought these last year and the first time I washed them...the red paint all smeared off and I thought, 'ok, I can still use these once it dries...' well, it never really dried...just stayed sticky and every time you touch it the paint/marker smears and sticks to you as well. I used very hot water (did not put in dishwasher) to wash them, so maybe if you use luke-warm or cold, you won't have any problems. :-) Good luck!
