Blogger Meet Up and Partial Classroom Reveal

Well it has been weeks since our Carolina Bloggers Meet Up here in Greenville and I finally had time today to upload pictures and post them! Here are just a few!
Me and the lovely Rachel Lamb from the Tattooed Teacer blog! We're new besties. =)

Thanks to Amanda Madden of Teaching Maddeness for these adorable gift bags and nametags!
This was so much fun! Amanda Madden put this whole weekend together and I can't wait until we get to do it again! All of these women were awesome!

We started school with kids on Wednesday and my classroom still isn't exactly where I want to be so I am just sharing a few projects and pictures.
Those little cups are dry erase! How cool is that! I found the dry erase adhesive squares at Wal-mart in the back to school section. I am excited for my Guided Reading groups this year! No more whippin' out those whiteboards!
Um, did you guys know that Avery makes circular labels now??! I didn't...They also can be purchased in oval and square shapes!! I love them!!
I updated my Back to School Forms Checklist. You can download it HERE!
Well, I am off to enjoy the rest of my Sunday relaxing! Hope everyone has a great week! I will be back with a full reveal and first week fun next week!!

  4. Hi Ginger:
Your room looks wonderful! Thanks for the update about the Avery labels. My circles always end up looking like ovals anyway... How fun to buy them already in the right shape!
I love that the Carolina/Georgia bloggers have become so well connected--and how fun that BloggyFriends can be IRL friends too.
    Wishing you a wonderful year...

  9. I have a couple of questions - Where did you get your round avery labels, and the actual cute designs on the labels themselves? Also, what type of colored tape is that on your dry erase board dividing the subjects for you to write? Your word wall strips - is it velcro on fabric. I have something similar with ribbon and I have been debating what to use to put the words up, maybe velcro it is. I may try to email you as well. I teach in GA and we are a month in, but my kids are nuts so this weekend I am getting in gear again to start fresh with these kiddos this week. Things gotta change!
    Thanks,

  10. You can get the round labels at any place that sells labels...Staples, Walmart, etc... The tape on the dry erase boards was from Lakeshore Learning but I can't think of the brand of the tape. You can purchase it online somewhere, but it is pretty expensive. It is essentialy painters tape. Regarding the word wall strips, I used velcro dots on the fabric. Hope this helps!
