Learning Resources Giveaway: Luna Projector

I actually have a document camera in my classroom and I love it because there are sooooo many amazing things you can do with them! But, I must say, Learning Resources' Luna Interactive Projector is flippin' amazing! My document camera takes up way too much table space, but this little gem is small and versatile.

It not only functions as a projector, but it is also a web cam and takes pictures and videos! How nifty is that!? All the while needing NO batteries!

This projector is great for so many different things including:

Making Words
Demonstrating handwriting and cursive
Showing books/textbooks
Modeling writing and other activities
Using manipulatives for math
Displaying homework/classwork
Checking homework/classwork
Demonstrating science experiments

I can't even list them all, but you would definitely want one of these in your classroom!

  3. I am especially excited to use this in my classroom for math instruction. It is so much easier for the littles to know what is going on when doing a worksheet or doing a hands on activity if it could be projected onto the board.

Thanks for the chance to win :)

  7. I used to have a document camera at my old school, and I miss it dearly! I think my favorite way to use it was to show student writing and student math journals so that the whole class could see their work!

  12. I've been checking this out but can't get the funding for it. I'm dying to be able to use it in science. I want to show flower parts close up, diagrams from books, and take photos/video of instruction to put on a website for students to access at home.

    Thank you! Thank you!

  15. Your first line had me sold! I've been contemplating which document camera to buy with some grant money. I was toying with the larger versions, but this sealed the deal for me. I am thinking compact is the way to go.

Now, maybe I'll win and I can use the grant $$ for something else ;)

  16. Wow! I can think of so many ways to use this projector. Any book could be a shared reading experience instead of a read aloud. Workshop activities would be so much easier to to demonstrate and could be recorded for playback. Our readers theatres could be recorded to enjoy later. I really hope to win.

  20. We have zero technology in my school - we don't even have overhead projectors (if that even counts as technology... haha!)! I would use a document camera to model activities so everyone can see what we're doing! Right now I just tape my paper to the whiteboard... it doesn't work very well. ;)

  21. I have been praying to acquire a document camera for my classroom. I teach two groups of 25 students. I have learned that many of them are very visual learners. The document camera would benefit my students tremendously in learning new material, especially in math! I would use the camera to show how to use manipulatives in math, easily allow students to display their work fast, etc. the possibilities of using a document camera are endless!

  22. Oh my goodness!! I would LOVE to have this in my classroom! I'm moving to a new room this summer and losing my smart board :( so I really need some kind of document camera to use when we're going over assignments and checking our work, editing our writing, completing projects or activities, and so many more things! The Luna Projector sounds great! I love that it can be used as a webcam too! I have my fingers crossed!
