Font Background Tutorial

Well, day 1 of state testing is tomorrow and thankfully we have been told we can wear jeans ALL week! I know, it's the little things...

Anyway, recently I have been seeing people add backgrounds and pictures inside of their text like this:
Cool huh!?

Check out the video to learn how! It is SOOO SUPER easy!

Don't forget about my TN and TPT sales! You can click the buttons in my sidebar to check them out!

Also, don't forget to go enter my Hear All Assessment Recorder giveaway! This thing is so cool!
Click HERE to head over and enter! The giveaway will end on Wednesday!

Make sure you click the read more button if you don't see the Rafflecopter!

And, on top of all this coolness, I have been nominated for the 2012's Most Fascinating Elementary Teacher blog! How cool is that!?

I'll be posting about this again when the voting begins on May 14th and I hope you will all vote for me!

  1. Thanks for posting the tutorial. I knew you could use the textures, but didn't realize you could use your own saved graphics. If I wanted to use text titles as graphics on a webpage, what is the easiest way to do so?

    2. I'm sorry it didn't make sense - I'll try to make it more clear. Once you create the word art in power point, can you save it like a graphic/picture file instead of as a document? In other words, how do you get the word art off power point and onto your blog or other website? I also thought about using them for digital scrapbooking titles and I think I could make it work if they were graphics and I could upload the image.

    3. Okay, I got you now! =) Sometimes I just need specifics! Yes, you can. If you are in powerpoint or word and have created the font with a background, you can hit the Printscreen key on your keyboard and it will copy your whole screen. Then, you just paste that into Paint and crop the image as you like and save it. Or, if you have Windows 7, like me, you can just use the Snipping Tool to capture the area that you want! =) I hope that made sense! If you are confused, just email me and I'll try to take you through it step by step!
