How to Create a Flipchart

I am so excited to share this tutorial video with you all today! I often get asked how I make my flipcharts so I thought I would share a quick introduction on how I begin making my flipcharts.

If you do not have ActivInspire, you can download it for free from their website. Here is the link to a file someone out there created to walk you through the steps of downloading this software.

If you have any other requests of what you would like to see, just leave me a comment and let me know!

Was this helpful for anyone??

  1. Thank you! I found your video very helpful!! I would like to know how to change the image (from a blue & white Earth) when I insert media (a weblink) into my Flipchart.

  2. I'm actually a certified ActivInspire trainer, so I just watched for fun (seriously) because I LOOOOVE making flipcharts!!! I literally spend all summer making and enhancing my flipcharts. I know a lot of teachers will benefit from seeing your video and videos to come--well done :)

    1. I help train teachers in our school district for ActivInspire too! I love it and then I was like, well maybe I can video me actually making a flipchart and then people might get something out of it!

  3. This was definitely helpful. It has been a while since I have created my own flipchart. Thank so much for sharing and I am looking forward to more tutorials from you. I am also going to share your blog link with my staff.

  4. Hi Ginger:

I have been using ActivInspire for two years... And in the first 30 seconds of your video, you taught me some short cuts I have never seen before!
    (Hello Control D!)

I loved the look of your page and the way you added your clip art. Fun, but not too busy.... Just right!

I'll tune in for anything you're willing to share--and I'd love to see more, more, MORE!

I'm so excited to be a new follower.
    THANKS so much for sharing,

    1. Hi Cheryl! You can use ActivInspire for Smartboards as well. You just have to go to Promethean Planet and download the software!

  6. This looks awesome - I didn't know there was a special software especially for creating your own flipcharts, etc.! I don't have a SmartBoard in my room, but we have one in our library, so perhaps if I ever did create something, I could use it there!

I went to the ActivInspire website, and I'm having trouble registering to even download the software, but I was wondering, before I waste my time contacting tech support about registering, is the software free?

Thanks for sharing your tutorial, and I'm glad to see you back in the blogosphere! :)
