New Ginger Snap Fonts!

Twice in one week? This must be a miracle! I created some new fonts a few weeks ago and just haven't gotten around to posting them. I have added them to my sidebar with the words {New} next to them.

Here is a preview of them!

In other news, I have realized that this science word wall pack that I am working on will take me quite some time! I didn't realize how many words there would actually be! There are roughly 340 words! It's gonna take a little bit! I haven't even begun making the actual vocabulary cards yet. It took me all day yseterday just to create the word lists for each topic! Whew! I'm already exhausted!

I met with my friend Danielle yesterday because she had some questions about starting a TPT store. I recommended that she start off with a blog to help her get her name out there. I started thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to do a video tutorial for getting a blog up and running. I plan on working on that in the next week as well! I figured it could prove helpful for many new bloggers/sellers! What do you guys think?

Happy Friday friends!!

I'm baaaack with an Ultimate Science Pack Preview!!!

So it's been a hot minute since I've blogged. Let's just say life has been happening and I've just kind of taken a long and MUCH NEEDED hiatus from the blogging world. But it's summa time and I'm feeling inspired again! Maybe it's the lazy days being spent by the pool or my new boyfriend *hehe* Whatever the cause, I am glad to be back!

I have had so many people message me asking for Science Word Wall Cards similar to my Math and ELA cards, but I wasn't able to find a set of "common" standards for every state so I decided that I would make an ULTIMATE set of science vocabulary word cards instead. It will also include an editable page where you can add your own words and pictures because I am sure with it being summer and all....I'll leave out some important words. =)

I am also including Header Posters for each science topic covered in the pack.

So far, I've only completed the Header Posters. I will tackle the rest of the pack and hopefully have it finished and posted by Sunday or Monday night...but no promises...

Here is sneak peek!

Let me know if you have any suggestions!

I'm feeling like I am getting my groove back! Whoo hoo!

Geometry Concentration and a Freebie

I am seriously enjoying my Spring Break this week and finally got motivated today to post some newbies.

We worked on geometry a few weeks back and I made a couple of games to help students practice identifying geometric figures and shapes.

The first game is called Geometry Concentration and it was designed to help students practice identifying kinds of lines, pairs of lines, angles, and parts of a circle. It is available for $2.00 in my TPT shop!

Just click below my shop button below to grab your set!

And here is a free game to help your students practice identifying polygons with names and with riddles.

Just click the image above to download your FREE copy!

I hope to be back soon with more stuff for you all!

And per usual, if you want to win the Geometry Concentration for FREE, riddle me this:

What tune has been on repeat on my itunes in the last two weeks?

Hint: It's a male artist and it's a fairly new song on the radio!

Happy Guessing!

A little of this and that...

I promised I would be back to share some things we have been working on, so here I am!

In Math, we have been doing some serious geometry. We have been learning about kinds of lines, pairs of lines, the parts of a circle, and angles!

To help us review the different kinds of lines, I gave the students some sequins and cardstock and they created each kind of line. See pictures below!

We have also been studying the branches of our state government. After learning about them, they had to make a branches of government tree as a project grade.

(Aren't they super cute!?)

And then we FINALLY finished up our animal research papers and students were asked to create a poster to display their research. I gave them two sheets they were required to use to show what they learned.

As our Valentine's Day Party craft, I asked students to make Valentine people on their bags! They came out so cute!

This is just a little bit of what we have been doing! I will be back soon with some actual free downloads for some our Geometry activities and the Branches of Government tree template so you can do them too!

And don't forget about my Brag Tag giveaway! It is going on until midnight Saturday! Click HERE to view the post and enter to win yourself 100 brag tags!

Happy Hump Day!!

Brag Tag Giveaway

Hey blog friends! It's been a hot minute since I've been able to blog and I apologize for that! I have been busy!

Anyway, I was contacted a while back by Boost Promotions about teaming up for a review and giveaway of their amazing brag tags!

In case you are wondering, this is a brag tag!

I bought the little army tag necklaces from Wilson's to hang the tags on.

There are all sorts to choose from! And let me tell you, my students LOVE wearing them around and showing them off to their peers! You can check them all out on their website by clicking HERE!

I thought that the best way to review how successful they have been in my class was to video some of my students telling me their opinion! So, here is my little friend explaining which ones he has and what he thinks of them!

These tags are so amazing and fun! I do the homework club every month. If students have their homework all month long, with the exception of one free miss (cause you know, we all have bad days) then they stay in the homework club! At the end of the month, if they are still in the homework club, they earn a free night of no homework and they also get various treats at lunch. We have done pizza, ice cream, brownies, etc..I do think it's great motivation for them to do their homework. They also get really crazy about not losing their brag tag due to missed homework! At the end of every day, their brag tag necklace returns to their desk and they wear them again the next day.

Our RTI teacher next door asked me about them one day and then ranted and raved about how excited the kids were about them when they go to her class. She said they couldn't stop talking about them! Nuff said!

I use the Homework Club tags, Student of the Week (Helpers), STAR Student (I pick two people every Friday who had a great week), and the Academic Achievement tags for students with all A and all A/B Honor Roll.

I'm sure there are about a million other ways to use these bad boys in your classroom, but this is how I've been doing it for the last couple of weeks! I'd love to hear your ideas on how you would use them too!

And my friends, you can win yourself a 100 brag tags!!

Use the Rafflecopter below to enter! Good luck!! The giveaway will end Saturday at midnight and I will announce the winner on Sunday!

I will be back soon with what we have been up to lately in class! =)

Happy Tuesday!
